'97 Brilliant Black with Koni Sport shocks, Flyin' Miata sway bars, Porterfield brake pads, Hard Dog roll bar.
On track days the car also sports an Ultrashield Spec Miata seat and Willans 6-point harness.
A simple upgrade to aftermarket shocks and sway bars on stock springs, plus R-compound tires and a good alignment, yeilds about 97% of the cornering perfor-mance of a full-bore racing suspension. FM springs, tophats, and bumpstops are even now waiting in my garage, ready to add that last 3%.

Street tires on the '97 are 195/60-14 Falken Azeni RT-615s on stock alloys. Track tires are 205/50-15 Yokohama A048Rs, previously on stock 2001 alloys, now on Kosei K1s.
In February, 2008, a 2001 LS was added to the garage to take over as daily driver and extend the life of the '97.
Took awhile to find one this nice. No mods yet, but it sits up pretty high so something will have to be done.
